Dreams Come True at 2024 Friendship Dinner
Our 2024 Friendship Dinner was a resounding success, blending community spirit with sports camaraderie to highlight the transformative impact that Sertoma has on adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The evening honored Wes Stowers & Family with the much-deserved Lifetime of Love award and featured Charles Davis—renowned NFL voice on CBS and Tennessee Football VFL—as he joined broadcasting legend Jimmy Hyams.
Together Jimmy and Charles recounted memorable tales from the NFL and UT, including his time with the cherished Sugar Vols. (The big surprise of the night was when Charles saw many of his former teammates in the audience .. photos of that reunion to follow!)
The event was masterfully emceed by Beth Haynes and Russell Biven, who interviewed inspiring families and individuals impacted by Sertoma’s initiatives.
Ashley, one of our persons supported, stole the show with her acapella rendition of Disney’s song “Wish” and received a standing ovation! So proud of her!
